Over the last couple of weeks I had the privilege to read an advance copy of Stephanie Sabbe’s new book, Interiors of a Storyteller, and it has been a most delightful experience! Knowing of Stephanie Sabbe’s talents as an interior designer, I went in expecting a collection of beautiful homes and inspiring photographs to save for future reference. What I did not expect was a first-class writer and storyteller: charming, witty, self-aware, humorous but not flippant, deeply personal and refreshingly honest.

When it comes to getting through the bleak days that follow the holiday season, seeking joy in the ordinary, everyday activities can be a great way to muddle through. Happy almost Christmas, dear friends! I didn’t mean to keep away for so long but, as you all know, December has a pace and will of its own. So far it’s been a fun month over here, filled with things to do, people to see, pets to care for. School concerts, recitals, bake sales, ballet performances (my daughter’s, not my own, haha), and a few precious moments of quiet contentment in between, have made it nearly impossible to touch the keyboards at a leisurely pace.
