Happy weekend! For those of you experiencing extreme summer weather, I hope you’re staying cool and hydrated, wherever you are. Western Mass has been scorching hot this past week so we’ve been hiding from the heat and only going out when it is absolutely necessary. We’re also dog-sitting our neighbors’ Australian Cobberdog, Albus, and we couldn’t be happier to have this sweet and gentle pup stay with us again. (The past few days have been filled with puppy kisses and cuddles and Sofia and I are having a hard time letting Albus out of our arms.)
The garden is thirstier than ever, and filled with the thick fragrance of summer flowers ( the Asian lilies have just bloomed and their scent is intoxicating!). Mystery books, gardening shows and some good bakes – that’ s about as slow and lazy a summer day can be… Here are this week’s finds, please make sure to check out Arthur Parkinson’s lovely Cotswold cottage garden tour on Youtube, linked below. His Create Academy course on container gardening is next on my list.
