Book Review | The Well Adorned Home by Cathy Kincaid

One of the best things about living in Western Massachusetts (besides the natural beauty of the region and the countless little antiques shops I’ve come to know as the back of my hand) is being able to travel to Boston and New York City on a whim. Last night I made it to John Rosselli Associates on 61st Street and attended a book signing organized in honor of interior designer Cathy Kincaid’s new book, The Well Adorned Home – Luxury for Everyday Living. The event was coordinated by Niven Breen (Thank you, Chesie Breen for the invite, and Coco Van der Wolk for your kind words! ) My hands were steadier this time and I managed to take a ton of decent photos of John Rosselli’s GORGEOUS shop, decorated to the brim with exquisite antiques, art and one of a kind pretties! And I got my book autographed too!

The Well Adorned Home is fabulous! I’ve been admiring Cathy Kincaid’s work from afar for a really long time (she designs the prettiest bedrooms I’ve ever seen) and to have so many of her exquisite projects bound under one cover is a visual treat. Written in collaboration with Chesie Breen, co-founder and partner of Niven Breen Consulting, the book is also a great read and gives a glimpse into Kincaid’s design philosophy describing her unique approach to decorating for lifelong clients as well as for herself and her family. Featuring eleven homes (some of them never published before) that vary in size, location and style, there is something to spark your imagination and inspire you on every page, I guarantee it! Here’s a little sneak peek!

And because I can’t help showing you some images of the showroom as well, all glowing and dressed up for party, I’m including my best shots from last night 🙂 The photos were taken with my phone and don’t do justice to just how mesmerizing John Rosselli’s shop can be. As the evening came to an end, I had a hard time tearing myself away from the displays! I could have stayed in there for hours…

Just to be clear, I did not touch anything (although I was dying to!) and I did ask permission to photograph 🙂

Nite nite!!
