Hello, friends! How’s your holiday weekend so far? I hope you have something fun planned to celebrate the not-so-fun end of summer. We’ve only been back to school for two whole days, and here I am, writing the second blog post of the week 🙂 This week’s finds are a curious bunch: books, textiles, home tours (I know you like those), youtube videos… Let me know what you think. First on my list is a two-part tribute to the late design legend Robert Kime. Filmed as a preview to the October 2023 auction of Kime’s personal collection, the two videos honor a lifetime of influential work, and an impressive network of meaningful friendships. Incredibly touching…

His book is out of print and difficult to find, but Walmart claims to carry copies of it at the link bellow:
A stunning collection of twelve definitive Robert Kime projects, ranging from Bloomsbury to the Bahamas, from the Irish countryside to la France profonde. Magnificent, specially-commissioned photography by Tessa Traeger is accompanied by a text which combines illuminating descriptions of the choices and challenges involved in each project with an account of how this most cultured of designers developed his eye. With a foreword by H.R.H The Prince of Wales, this is the definitive book on Robert Kime, one of the most respected and influential English designers of our time.

On my nightstand:
A World of Curiosities, by Louise Penny
I’m aching to dive into the world of Three Pines again with Louise Penny’s latest novel, A World Curiosities. I’ve been savoring each book of the series like I would an exquisite box of chocolates, making my way slowly, and each morsel last just a little bit longer. But once I read the reviews of her latest book, I knew I had to skip ahead!
Another book I’m excited to read, recommended by a friend:
Man’s Search for Meaning, by Viktor E. Frankl
Revisiting the Tolstoy Cottage
Pillows I’ve been eyeing lately:
Blue and white graphic pillow cover
Beautiful! Love the videos!!! Thank you so much for sharing!
