This Week’s Finds

Happy Sunday, dear friends! I hope your weekend was a fun one. We’re ending a busy week, filled with activity on all fronts – copious amounts of work and play, sprinkled with some comfort food  and plenty of warm cider. I had hoped to have blogging things ready by now but such is life. Hoping you’re still around, here are this week’s finds, along with some highlights on the home front. Trick or treating was a huge success this year. We got enough candy to tide us over until Thanksgiving, for which I’ve started practicing some new bakes. I also spotted the most darling jack-o lantern I’ve ever seen, and I’m sharing the pic I snapped in case you need some inspiration for next year’s pumpkin designs. My neighbor turned her pumpkin sideways and, what do you know, the result was hilarious. I’m so stealing this carving idea.

After much searching, I’ve found a vintage wallpaper to go in one of our bedrooms. The pattern is a Thomas Strahan reproduction of a civil war era design of delicate vines of pink and raspberry red roses. A tad sweet, but I love it!

My happy place this week, and every week:

Love your posts and hearing a little bit about life in addition to decorating. My family is in the process of all getting over those dreaded fall colds (I have a 2.5 year old who is in daycare). However I am happy to have recently finished a project to panel the backside of my island. Something I started while my son was still in the womb!

Love that wallpaper, Eva! It’s difficult to find those types of patterns these days. Where are you putting it-your daughter’s room?
And that Rita Konig–she’s amazing! Love to see her work.
    Have a great week!

Thank you, Diana! Rita Konig is definitely a mastermind!

And you’re absolutely right – the wallpaper is for my daughter’s bedroom 🙂
      Have a great weekend!
