A New Chapter

Happy Monday! Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving break! Thank you all so much for your kind messages after sharing our Thanksgiving table. You made me very happy! We spent the last couple of days relaxing and taking a break from it all and, with the weather on our side, we did some major headway with our backyard makeover. (I’ll share more about it, and our plans, soon.) In the meantime, there is something else I wanted to talk to you about. You may have noticed that lately there have been some changes here on the blog and I am very excited to share with you the launch of Café Design Shop. 

From day one, Café Design has had a very clear mission: to help others on their journey of creating a happy, colorful and personal home that best supports who we are and who we want to be. We shared inspirational design stories and the work of decorators we collectively admire, and we got personal and vulnerable, and invited you along on our own journey of buying and renovating a home.

But for a while now I’ve thinking about new ways to be of service through this blog, and to better help those who love decorating as much as I do. Over the years I’ve had numerous friends and blog readers reach out for long-distance decorating consultations and I am incredibly thankful for their trust and confidence in me. I’ve had a ton of fun in the process and I’ve come across some great decorative finds that I wanted to share with a larger audience, in an organized and cohesive way, but didn’t really know how. Until recently, that is.

This year has been special in so many ways. For one, my daughter is older now, and needs me less and less. All of the sudden I had all this free time and space to figure out my next chapter, and in this space, the idea of Café Design Shop was born. It is still very much a work in progress, and I’ll keep adding new items along the way, but at its core Café Design Shop is a place dedicated to great lifestyle and home décor finds that are authentic to our values and are a natural extension of our mission to help others design a beautiful home, and in the process, a more beautiful life. Thank you all for coming along, I hope you’ll find it useful and inspiring!
